The Exchange observed the 50th anniversary of its founding in 1930.

Mrs. Elizabeth M. L. Abell was president of the Exchange for twenty years from 1913 to 1933. She declined to be reelected in 1934 due to old age and later passed away on August 14, 1934.

The Exchange is part of the Charles Street community where Baltimoreans go to shop. They are listed with other Charles Street stores in flyers as the store to go to for fine needlework and embroidery.
